We came back from work to find room service had entered our room, but didn't clean and, we believe, stole from us. Keep your valuables locked away if you stay. Laundry was another problem: I did a load and later found our clothes taken out, put in garbage bags, and left on the floor. There was dog poop all over outside because it's pet friendly and they don't make owners clean up. The front desk was rude and the customer service was poor, even if they smile. After we left, they tried to charge the card on file $500 for no reason. We hadn't damaged the room and had cleaned up before leaving, and luckily the card was locked so they couldn't take anything. Never again. Holiday Inn or someone should take over quickly and make the pet rules stricter. Unless another company takes it over and changes the name, find somewhere better.

The staff were amazing, but roaches were crawling around the room from the moment I walked in, including in the fridge and on the tub. I had nowhere else to go, so I slept with the lights on and was terrified. I checked out early the next night, but they said I couldn't get a refund because I had stayed the first night. That's okay. I hadn't planned to review, but I expected a call from the manager about a possible refund and never heard back, so I wanted to warn other travelers.

The second room had dirt on the floor and dirty blood spots all over the walls, and only one stove burner worked. I asked for queen beds but got two hard double beds. The first room smelled like pee. The place needs a serious renovation before showing those misleading website photos. It's a lower-end wood spring hotel, and people were hanging around both the front and back entrances.

This is my second stay at WoodSpring Suites Columbia / FT Jackson, and it has that welcoming, family-like feel. Tonight a weekend receptionist greeted me as part of the “family.” Everyone has been quick and efficient with questions and needs. Big thanks to Shay and Quettei for being so positive, friendly, and ready to help new guests. I'd absolutely recommend considering WoodSpring Suites as your preferred hotel.
