We’ve stayed twice, and both times the room was clean and fully stocked. The pool area is nice enough, with a large pool, hot tub, sauna, and game room. Breakfast was good: eggs, biscuits and gravy, plus the usual items. It isn’t a super fancy hotel, but it’s worth the price.

My kids asked to sleep in the car after being in the room for only 30 minutes, and that was the last straw. I complained to the attendant, who let me check out without charging me. The room smelled of mold, the carpet was stained and discolored, and the TV wouldn’t work. When my son checked whether it was plugged in, he found the outlets off-center, which seemed like a code violation. The walk from the lobby wasn’t any better. The atrium was dark, and the carpet was worn and stained up the stairs and along the second-floor hall. The decor throughout was outdated and worn. I’d found the hotel on Google and had mixed feelings after reading the reviews, but decided hesitantly to give it a try. Unclean, outdated, smelly, and nasty.

My mom and I were traveling from Montana to Florida, stopping many times along the way, and this hotel was an inexpensive $70 including tax for a two-bed room. It was really comfortable, with nice rooms, a great bathroom, and nice pillows. The beds are firm, which is welcome after driving 11 to 12 hours a day. I travel very, very often, and the TV had lots of channels, including SyFy and A&E, which is a rare deal in hotels. The picture was clear once you slammed the sticky door a little, and the doors are a bit hard to close. The hotel is old and a bit outdated, but has a 60's, 70's motif that shouldn’t make your stay horrible. The pool area is rather impressive and there’s an arcade. The lights in the "dome", pool area, and seating area are dim, but bright enough to see while swimming. The window in our room inside the "dome" was a bit strange. Some people complaining must not be used to mid-grade rooms. They should check out the cheapy hotels, like Motel 6 or Super 8, if they want something to complain about. Staff = 5 (Friendly, Wonderful, Great Costumer Service) Rooms = 3 (Comfortable, but the sticking door brings it down) Lobby, Pool, Etc. = 3 (The lighting and dated look bring it down to average) All in All = 3/3.5

Traveling with a pet to the Univ. of Missouri animal hospital gets you a good reduced rate. The common areas have been refreshed, and my dog-approved room was near trees and grass, with parking right outside the door. The $17 pet fee was half of what others charge. Thanks for helping people coming from out of town with pets who need the hospital. The room was clean, though it could use a little maintenance. My door was a struggle to bolt shut, and the TV was scrambled, but the front desk girl came right over to fix it. She was friendly and check-in was quick. I’d stayed at Stoney Creek on my last trip to town. For half the price, I think Quality Inn is a good option if you need somewhere clean to sleep, a hot breakfast, and maybe a quick dip in the hot tub or pool. The pool is right outside the interior rooms.

The pet rooms have their own outside entrance, so maybe the indoor rooms are kept better. Ours was awful, though. The bathroom was dirty, the room smelled moldy, and there were stains on the floor and carpet. We had two queen beds, but the one farther from the door had dirty sheets and a dirty cover, so we left it unused. Disgusting.
