The breakfast attendant, an older woman, was super sweet, and the waffle maker was great. The afternoon staff, though, were extremely rude. One larger woman with short braids or dreads yelled at someone on the phone, saying she had canceled the reservation free of charge and asking what more the person wanted. After hanging up, she rolled her eyes, and the other receptionist said she should have used a fake name. Check-in was at 4, but we didn’t get a room until 4:10, while other people were checked in ahead of us even though we were waiting. The room was dirty. A wet rag wiped over a small area came away black, the sheets were wrinkled and hadn’t been changed, and there was a dead bug in the AC. There was grass in them, too, and the bath mat was moldy. People were constantly smoking week on the stairway, and the smell came into our room. If there’s somewhere else available, stay there.

From the street, the place doesn’t look like much and could make you wonder if you chose right. Inside, our room was clean, fresh, and seemed to have been renovated fairly recently. For a budget stay, the rooms are more than adequate. Breakfast was very basic: oatmeal called cereal, juice, and pastries, nothing special. In our experience, this was a better option than the very similar hotel across the street at the same price.

The place is a bit dated, but they did a great job with what they had. Our one-night room smelled clean, the floor was hair-free, and there were little soaps and shampoo in the bathroom. The sheets were white and clean, and the bed was comfortable. At checkout, the man behind the counter was warm and friendly. Then, as we got to our car, he was standing in the hotel doorway waving goodbye. All of that made the stay really enjoyable. Loved it!

I’ve been a Choice Diamond member since 2009 and have stayed in hotels across every state thousands of times. At this location, the room is never ready before exactly 4, even when you call. It’s the only Choice hotel I’ve encountered that runs this late, and it’s ridiculous. There were only four cars in the lot. Are there really no rooms ready to check into? Of all the front desk clerks I’ve met here, only one had a decent attitude. We were planning to book 15 rooms for three months, but that definitely isn’t happening now. It feels like laziness, and I can’t believe Choice allows it. Find somewhere else.

There were cockroaches, no running water in the bathroom, and the showers were cold. They also didn’t have the washer and dryer they said they did.
