The Blackwell Inn and Pfahl Conference Center

After my shift at OSU, I stayed at the Blackwell Inn during the level 3 snow emergency in Columbus. They offered medical center staff an emergency rate that included valet, a very welcome gesture after being out in the snow. Staff were really kind, and everything about the hotel was nice, from the rooms to the lobby. My room had a nice view of the stadium, and they offer room service and everything you’d need. I’d definitely return.

We love the Blackwell and would recommend it to anyone visiting for an OSU game or a wedding, or just wanting an executive level hotel stay. We’d held a previous wedding here and came back to celebrate it. The staff’s attention to detail and the little extras they arranged were thoughtful and so kind. Our night was perfect, and the room was just as we remembered it. The hotel and its staff are beyond excellent, more than the five star rating can represent.

The parking was disappointing. You either had to pay $35 for valet with in/out privileges, or use the campus parking deck next door and pay every time you exited the garage. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the hotel was clean overall. The location right on campus was perfect, with easy walking access close to Ohio Stadium. Rooms were spacious and clean. I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel itself was really nice and handy for the concert, but I wouldn't use the valet. I saw an employee peel out in a customer's Alfa Romero. The rooms also have almost no soundproofing. I could hear people chatting in the hallway without even trying.
