The deposit is high, more than at most hotels, so be aware. I was told the hold would be $125, while the room itself cost $60 before taxes, basically doubling the cost. I tried calling the front desk beforehand, but the phone service had been rerouted out of state to a call center that wouldn't transfer me.

Don't book with this motel. I think these guys are scammers. I booked one night, and at check-in the woman asked for a $100 deposit. I only had $50, so we agreed on that. Then they wanted my card number, which seemed ridiculous just for a security deposit. I only had Apple Pay, so they brought out a card reader that wouldn't even turn on. Knowing I didn't have cash or a physical card, they took advantage and said they couldn't check me in or refund me. I'm outside the motel typing this now with nowhere to go after booking with them.

The first room had a broken TV, so we asked for another. In the replacement room, cockroaches were crawling all over the floor. When we told them, they said it was normal and pest control comes. We had to find somewhere else to stay. After check-in, we also had to wait 30 minutes before the woman said we could come back. My boyfriend and I were coming home from West Virginia and wanted a Columbus, Ohio hotel. This one looked okay in the pictures and was three minutes from Magic Mountain, so we thought it might be a nice little getaway and date. On arrival, it looked completely different from the pictures. Outside, there were signs saying they wouldn't do anything if someone messed with your car. They also wanted a $125 deposit, which they hadn't mentioned anywhere.

The staff were the only good part. There were bugs in the pillows and under the blanket, the drapes were broken, and the mattress was badly stained. Fire & EMS showed up right after we arrived. Thankfully, I got my refund back immediately. The Motel 6 misdirection feels scummy. Don't waste your time, and I hope the people working there find jobs that treat them better.

The hotel is now called Relax Inn. The bathroom was the main problem: it either wasn't cleaned properly or wasn't cleaned at all, and the mats looked like they hadn't been washed in a few stays. The toilet paper dispenser was missing its roll holder. The wall trim was in bad shape, with unpainted nails and scuffs, and paint peeling off. The bathroom fan didn't work either.
