The clean, well-kept room and the friendly front desk team were the bright spots. Check-in was easy, and they were pleasant whenever we had a question. But the noise made it hard to rest: we heard guests showering, people in the halls, and our door kept rattling whenever another door on the floor shut. The back parking lot also had some activity that felt questionable, so we moved our car. As a longtime Marriott customer, I found the stay disappointing, and based on that experience I wouldn’t recommend this location.

Shannon, Ava, and Melissa made us feel so welcome. They were kind and helpful, and put in extra effort to arrange a couple of nights for my son, who is active duty Army. That meant a lot to me. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, too. I had a great stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott Columbus and will book here again when I’m back in Columbus. The team really made it feel like home.

I’m on the road about 80 nights a year, and this is my Columbus, GA place. It’s an older property, but the rooms are clean and roomy, the rates are reasonable, and the people are genuinely nice. There’s plenty of shopping and dining within a mile. I tried a similar place nearby once, and it was rough by comparison.

The rooms have been renovated and look great, and the hotel is very clean. Staff are really nice, too. I recommend it to all my clients.

The front desk staff were lovely and willing to help, but the rooms were a different story. My first room was dirty and clearly hadn’t been made up, so I asked for another. That one was worse, with hair and food crumbs on an unswept, unmopped floor. The third room had the same problem. It was already late and I needed somewhere to stay, so I gave up changing rooms. The sheets had stains, and although I asked for fresh ones, they never came. Someone finally swept and mopped on the third day. It didn’t feel like room cleaning was supervised, or like they wanted to clean the room at all.
