The room change made us late for our zoo trip, and the replacement still had a bathroom with no working light. A bulb had burned out, and the desk said someone would replace it while we were out. They never did. Later I was told maintenance had no bulbs in stock, and they wouldn't take one from our old room, so once again we were short a bathroom. At least the second room was cleaner. The manager gave me $50 back after I complained, but I don't think that was enough for a room advertised with two bathrooms when one couldn't be used for showering. Nobody apologized. We'd booked the largest suite for our family of six for two nights, but the first room was very dirty. One tub had hair from a previous guest all over it, and the other wouldn't drain. The desk said there was no housekeeping or maintenance on over the weekend, so we'd have to move. Staff seemed uncaring and unable to sort things out. They only addressed my problem when I called, and didn't follow up or do what they said they would. I travel to the Columbus area twice a month and chose this hotel because I'm a member and had my family with me. I won't return. After this experience, I have no faith in the staff or manager handling things better next time.

Jennifer was kind and accommodating when the first room on the second floor smelled like rotting cabbage. She switched us without fuss, then came with me to room 136 when I worried someone might be inside. The door catches on the frame and needs a hard push, but she showed me that's all it was. The new room had plenty of space for me and the kids and smelled clean, but it was very dated. The vents were rusty and dirty, the shower curtain had two tears, and the bathroom door was hard to shut. The beds were on odd-looking frames that seemed like the wrong fit for the box springs and mattresses. Kitchenette cutlery was dirty or rusted. The pool heater was broken, so the kids didn't swim for long, and the ladies' washroom was out of order. This is the second Staybridge Suite that's disappointed us. The Louisville location was just as bad. I picked this brand for its reputation and the room size for our group. The customer service was wonderful, but the rooms badly need updating. We take a lot of road trips, and this could be a good place to stay if the doors worked better. Check the videos and you'll see. If the rates are high, the quality should be better. I don't choose hotels based on new furniture, but this needs attention.

This place used to be tremendous, one of the best hotel locations around. Since 2023, both times I've stayed have been awful. Management, what happened? Go back to looking after the rooms and people the way you did before 2023.

We had a reservation for a two-bedroom suite, but when we reached the room at 9:45, the lights and fans were on and it looked as if someone might still be inside. There were used beds, dirty towels on the floor, dishes in the sink, and trash. We arrived in town with our two young kids at 9:30. I called the front desk and spent 15 minutes on hold, then was offered a standard one-room unit at full price. That room wasn't available either because an engineer was working on it. After another 15-minute hold, I went downstairs. They had no room or help to offer, and couldn't clean the suite. Joy and Julie at the desk were unfriendly, unapologetic, and acted as if I was a nuisance. My exhausted kids sat in the dirty room for 30 minutes while I had to book elsewhere, at the Residence Inn, which has already been great. Never again.
