It was freezing last night, and although the lobby was closed after hours, Christen helped me right away. She checked me in quickly and smoothly, with real courtesy and care. Excellent service, thank you, Christen!

The staff were friendly and tried to make things right, but the property seemed set up for the university football crowds rather than short-term travelers. The floors were sticky and gross, so we wore shoes in the room the whole time. There was no maid service, and basic things like a hairdryer, iron and board, extra pillows, or towels weren’t provided. The advertised free toiletries were just a small bar of soap and a little shampoo tube. As our stay went on, other issues came up. The halls smelled like cooking, and there was frequent yelling from parents at loud children behind closed doors. I believe most guests were construction workers and families connected to the nearby road project. The building alarm went off at 12:30 a.m. and was eventually silenced, but our smoke detector kept flashing green for the rest of our stay. The rooms weren’t soundproof as claimed: we heard heavy footsteps overhead and a neighbor’s bed frame banging against our shared wall after the alarm. I’ve stayed at extended-stay hotels for short trips before without trouble, but I don’t recommend this one.

The room above us sounded like someone moving furniture at 2 a.m., and it went on for two hours. Then a dog started barking at 5 a.m. We got maybe four hours of sleep, and the next day was miserable. The front desk is unattended from 6 p.m. to 10 a.m. I’ve contacted corporate twice and haven’t received any response.

We got great value for our extended stay, and the room was clean. We’d happily stay here again. Christen was also awesome, really friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. Whatever she’s paid, it isn’t enough.
