Hilton Garden Inn Corpus Christi

Roaches were everywhere, even coming out of our bags. We moved rooms three times and finally left before bedtime, then had to sleep in my car. The front desk guy was as nice as he could be, but he couldn't do much to help with a refund or find a solution. The manager I spoke to the next morning treated me terribly, like I was the problem. I still haven't received a refund. I can't believe Hilton had such a bad roach problem. Worst experience of my life. I'll never stay at a Hilton again. Disgusting.

The lobby has a restaurant and a small bar, and the room comes with a Keurig and a nightstand wireless charger with USB ports. The coffee is decent, but I like mine strong, so I always bring my own. The bed and pillows were comfy, breakfast was very good, and the staff were super nice.

This used to be our favorite place in Corpus, so we arrived excited with my wife. Disappointment started as soon as we drove up. The hotel sign was badly faded, and inside the elevator was filthy, with the same stains on the floor and walls throughout our stay. The brown hall flooring and room looked old and neglected. Our ceiling had at least 10 yellowish-brown water stains from a roof leak, the fridge stayed hot, and there was no shower pressure. We had to shower using a cup from a restaurant. The floors were disgusting, the carpet moldy, and the shower tile walls black with grime. I didn't want to touch them. The mattress was old enough that we could feel the springs. We lay there staring at the stained ceiling while a spider sat above us, then saw a silverfish on the wall. At the front desk, the woman argued that I wasn't an Honors member, telling me, “No you’re regular!” I showed her my app, and she reluctantly gave me my waters and treat bag without an apology. On checkout, I asked the same argumentative woman about getting a refund for the breakfasts I'd prepaid for but didn't use. Eighty football players had arrived on two buses and taken up all the food and space. She gladly said no. We endured two nights feeling ripped off and unappreciated, with no refund or apology. Hilton Garden used to be our favorite, and now it's the worst. If my money were bad, I'd be forced to make it right, but somehow bad service isn't held accountable. Somewhere Mr. Hilton is rolling over in his grave, wondering what happened to his dream of serving people with a smile and giving them an experience worth returning for. I'm copying and pasting this on Google reviews and Yelp reviews so no one else gets ripped off and goes through what we did.

Rust showed up everywhere, even on the bedside lamp, and one wall was covered in mold. The bathroom vent was packed with dust, while the headboard had water damage and what looked like another patch of mold. This room wasn't up to Hilton standards, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone.
