Hyatt Place Corpus Christi

I would not recommend staying here until they address cleanliness, pest control, and management accountability. I never spent the night at Hyatt Place. I checked in on December 12, 2025, left my bags, and went out. When I came back around 11 PM, the room was uninhabitable: live roaches, hair on the bed, in the shower, and on the toilet, and an AC/heat unit that didn't work. I reported it right away and asked to move to another hotel. They said I could switch rooms or relocate, but because I'd booked through a third party, management would have to handle any refund. I moved to another hotel that night and returned the next morning to follow up. Again, I was told the General Manager had to approve the refund. Even though I had documentation of the roaches and failed HVAC, management later denied the refund, saying the stay was “completed” based on internal system records, despite the room's condition and my not having occupied it overnight. This was extremely disappointing for a Hyatt-branded property. Guest safety and sanitation shouldn't be negotiable, and the way they handled it afterward was just as concerning.

Valerie was so polite and nice, and we really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and spacious, and the hotel is in an awesome location. I only gave the room four stars because the little theft lock was loose. Thanks for everything, Valerie and Hyatt.

Valerie at the front desk consistently provided excellent service and is an asset to Hyatt Place. The front desk and cleaning staff also responded quickly whenever issues came up. Still, there were serious cleanliness problems: the shower curtain and walls were very dirty, with lots of dirt or mold in the grout. I saw a tiny brownish-red bug crawling on a queen bed, then found a huge cockroach in the bathroom the next morning. The men's restroom downstairs also had excessive urine on the floor around the urinal on most days I was there. The hotel has potential, but management needs much better quality control if they want ratings of 4.3 or higher. I can see why it's rated only 3.9.

We were in town visiting family and had a great night with our family of five. Adam gave great service and was very helpful. The room was fine, breakfast was good, and we had no issues. Thank you!
