The staff were kind to Todd, and everyone from housekeeping and maintenance to the front desk was friendly and helpful. A couple of people went well beyond what I expected during a two-day stay, so I absolutely recommend this La Quentia location. Mention Toddler, or Todd for short, and they’ll remember! I arrived in C.C.TX. on Easter morning for a spontaneous trip and spent the day with a friend. I wanted to take my sweet 7 lb. dog to dinner, but two Hilton/Fairfield hotels where I’m a rewards member wouldn’t let him stay with me. That surprised me, since my three large dogs had stayed with me at Fairfield in Texarkana for 68 days with no issues. Marissa, the GSA, was smiling, efficient, and accommodating when I showed up without an RSVP. She didn’t sigh or roll her eyes or push me to reserve. She gave me an online rate without Trivago, and they were fine with Todd staying, for a $25 fee. Marissa let me check in and leave him alone in the room while I went to dinner, and said she’d call if anything came up. I got a welcome text with the option to access extra services by text, which I preferred. It poured all day and night, and I came back cold and wet. Marissa brought an extra blanket in under ten minutes and refused my $20 tip. She also arranged a late checkout. The next morning, a gentleman answered my questions, explained the fee, let me choose 2:30, and knew the area well enough to offer suggestions. I changed my flight and stayed an extra night, and extending in the same room was no problem. Journey also helped when I realized Walmart was about to close and I wouldn’t have time to get a suitcase. She asked what I needed, quickly found a place open until midnight, and pointed me there.
