Modern Motel

They say they’re working to improve this motel, and it really needs the work. The AC only works sometimes. Rooms should be cleaned every day, but that doesn’t happen. The TV wasn’t working, and they wouldn’t fix it. I asked for a microwave and might not get one.

Worst motel experience I’ve had. I know you get what you pay for, but a toilet paper holder, floors that have been mopped, and no dead roaches should be basic requirements.

The people were nice enough, and it’s right off the highway, but the room was so dirty that my wife and I couldn’t get past it. The sheets looked unwashed or badly stained, there were roaches in every corner, and the bathroom had barely been cleaned. I didn’t give the owners a chance to fix it, but once I saw the roaches, I couldn’t give the place the benefit of the doubt.

I’d paid for a week and had only been there two days, but after we were robbed they kicked us out at 1 a.m. and refused to give any money back. Talk about adding insult to injury. A few nights ago at Modern Motel, I was drinking with three girls when someone knocked. As soon as I opened the door, two masked men with guns pepper-sprayed us. They robbed us at gunpoint, took our purses and wallets, and ran. We called the police and filed a report. Meanwhile, Modern Motel told the police they didn’t want us there, and we were made to leave.
