Motel 6 Dallas, TX - North - Richardson

We got a bed and TV, which was fine since we arrived late with my kids and couldn’t find anywhere else. At first they treated me kind of suspiciously, though another man at the desk was nice. Some lights didn’t work and the bathroom door wouldn’t close. My daughter kept staring at a hole in the door that looked like it had been punched in. The fridge was there and running, but its gaskets didn’t seal all the way, so it never got cold enough and we had to throw out our leftovers. The complimentary coffee was empty too, which was a bummer.

This is one of my go-to spots. I like the fully stocked kitchen and the location, and it’s great that they have smoking rooms, including one on the first floor.

Dirty, smelly, cheap, with roaches and bedbugs. Laquinta next door costs more, but I’d definitely recommend it if you need a decent place nearby.

Three roaches were on the wall as soon as we entered our room, and there was one in the bed along with little black bugs. I was bitten by one too. We spent about 30 minutes looking for our room and trying to get help because nobody was at the front desk, and the cleaning lady refused to find someone. I saw another customer leave because no one was at the desk. Don’t use the vending machines either, they steal your change.
