The service was excellent, and they had a room available on a busy weekend. I picked it because I already had a relationship with Wyndham, their parent company, and I’ve been very happy with Wyndham hotels. The rate seemed reasonable, and some photos looked like renovated rooms, but my room wasn’t one of them. I wouldn’t return in its current state, since I expect a higher standard. These problems seem costly and difficult to fix without a renovation, so I don’t expect them to be addressed soon. Don’t let the pictures fool you. It’s a bed for the night, at least, but I like a good morning shower and couldn’t get one here. For a 3-star hotel, it wasn’t what I’m used to. It felt closer to a 2-star place, which I rarely choose. The halls smelled musty, one elevator seemed sketchy, and several outside doors didn’t lock at night, which was scary. Water pressure was poor and the water only warm, not hot. The tub drain was broken, and the TV was the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. Things were scratched and dinged up, as you’d expect in an older hotel, but that was the least of my worries.
