Courtyard By Marriott Danbury

Booking through a third party like booking.com might get you more help, according to what I was told. I reserved directly on the courtyard website with my AAA discount, after calling the courtyard service line to make sure I had done it right. The discount removed the breakfast package, and customer service said I could add it at arrival for $17 for the whole room. That turned out not to be true. Neither the local manager nor the 800-customer service line would honor it. I had to pay à la carte, which cost my family another $40 a day for breakfast.

The property is consistently clean and well maintained, and the care from the team really shows. Dylan at the front desk stood out during my second stay. He's professional, easy to talk to, and sincerely kind, and every interaction felt attentive and personal. Vy was just as warm and welcoming. This has become my go-to hotel when I'm in town. I hope Dylan and Vy keep growing with the company and get the recognition their kindness and professionalism deserve.

The renovated rooms and property look great, and the lobby has plenty of seating. My king room had a couch with an ottoman, a large desk/counter, a refrigerator, and a microwave. I didn't try the bar, restaurant, or indoor pool, though I walked past the pool and saw towels laid out at each chair. In the gym, there were three treadmills and other cardio equipment, with a clean folded towel in each treadmill cupholder. Nice attention to detail. I stay at Marriott properties several times a month. This one was very clean, with great staff and a convenient location near lots of dining options and neighboring businesses, including Orange Theory fitness.

The whole place felt welcoming and was extremely clean and comfortable. Staff around the property were pleasant and professional. My one night, from arrival through checkout, was a five star experience. Highly recommend.
