Holiday Inn Express Daytona Beach - Speedway

The room was clean, fresh-smelling, and had no bugs, and the renovations underway for the merger didn't affect our stay. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were outstanding. I had problems with double bookings at other hotels before, so I followed up 30 days before we arrived and again 24 hours before check-in. Both times the front desk staff were friendly, professional, and reassuring. When we arrived, I wondered if we had the wrong place because the Holiday Inn sign hadn't yet been changed to Daytona Speedway Hotel. The staff came outside and waved us in to make sure we knew we were at the right location. It was a thoughtful touch. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend the hotel and come back.

We booked directly and got a better price than on Expedia or Priceline. For Bike Week, the rates seemed fair given how big the event is. The rooms were spacious and clean, and breakfast was above average. It was raining when we arrived an hour early, but checking in wasn't a problem. Management went out of their way to help, even setting out a bin of rags so we could dry our bikes.

After reading reviews about dirty rooms and cockroaches, I was put off and wasn't sure what to expect when I booked for Daytona. Turns out I needn't have worried: the rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were nice, and the location is fantastic. The sofa was a bit beat up, though I wasn't expecting one, so I can't really complain. After touring Florida for the last few weeks and staying at 4 decent hotels, this one had by far the best shower pressure I've had. Thank you, I'd happily come back.

Tina’s warm smile and kindness made breakfast feel extra special, and the rest of the staff were friendly too. The breakfast was delicious. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with a hot shower and a good showerhead. We’ll definitely make this a regular stop when we travel through Florida.
