We ended up canceling both nights and scrambling to find another place, nearly missing our wedding rehearsal dinner. The front desk staff were rude and incompetent to other guests too, including a large wedding party trying to check in. We were three hours from home and had booked two nights with our family rate because my son works for Marriott. For seven years I've been able to email the printed “family rate” form at check-in, but this time they insisted on a physical copy. I offered to use the hotel business room printer, only to be told it had been broken for a while. When I asked where else I could print it, they offered no help. The manager said she had a printer in her office, but repeatedly refused when I asked if I could email the form for her to print, and gave us no other solution. I understand the form is their property policy, but with the guest printer out of service, they should've made some accommodation, especially for a family member with elite status. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
