Hampton Inn & Suites Decatur

The room was nice and clean once it was ready, and I'm glad we didn't rush the staff. It wasn't prepared by the 3 pm check-in, but the front desk employee was very friendly and got housekeeping onto it right away. They were clearly busy. The breakfast was great, and the lobby coffee station stayed stocked with coffee, hot chocolate, and tea bags all day, and maybe even all night. I also liked the wireless phone charger in the room. My one complaint is that the TV wasn't smart, so we couldn't cast Netflix to it. The location works well if you want to stay outside a big city but still be within driving distance of everything.

The hotel was beautiful and smelled so good everywhere inside. Judy at the front desk was helpful throughout our stay. The cleaning was so thorough, even in the cracks and crevices, that this is easily the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. It felt great from the moment we walked in. If you like steak, try Sweetie Pie’s ribeyes. You won't be sorry.

My coworker stayed from Friday to Sunday and had a great check-in experience with Ms. Judy. She told him about Hilton Honors, the amenities, and places to eat. It's rare to find customer service that good these days. The room was clean, and breakfast was excellent. Ms. Judy is a real asset to the hotel.

We found out after leaving that I'd left some clothes in the closet. The hotel called that same evening to check whether I knew, and they're going to box them up and mail them to me. Melissa was very nice and apologized several times because our room wasn't ready early. Every employee we met, including housekeeping, was kind and courteous, and they made our stay very pleasant.
