Quality Inn Decatur River City

I'm skeptical of the positive reviews here, they seem fake or AI generated to me. The staff weren't very friendly, either. We had several rooms, and none of the AC units worked well. Paint kept falling from the ceilings, the sink faucet was so loose it spun around, and the king beds were awful. We all had sore backs for two days.

We haven't actually stayed at this hotel, but the customer service was top notch. We had a non-refundable booking, then our baby had a total meltdown about two hours away and we realized we needed to stop for the night. I called to ask whether they could make an exception and cancel. The woman at the desk put me on hold and called the owner, who understood our situation, let us cancel, and refunded us.

Everything went smoothly from check-in through check-out, and it felt like good value for the area. The room was comfortable and clean, the location was handy, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a pleasant stay at Quality Inn Decatur and would come back when I'm in Decatur.

The AC was out, and the internet barely worked. I asked to switch rooms because of the AC, but both staff members said there were no vacancies even though I could see five to eight empty rooms. They could at least have offered a refund or something. I'm not staying here again.
