Comfort Suites Columbia Northeast - Fort Jackson

Ms. Vee greeted me with the biggest smile and made the stay comfortable for me and my three children. Her customer service and help were amazing, and she's a wonderful representative of the company. The GM did a great job bringing her on. She's a keeper, and we'll be back soon.

The assistant manager was kind and moved me to a better room after I found the first one dirty. The floors needed vacuuming, the nightstand and TV hadn't been cleaned, and there was hair in the tub. The TV in the replacement room wouldn't connect to the internet. I called downstairs and he said he'd come up, but the wait was long, so I told him not to worry about it. He was handling a busy hotel on his own and could use some help.

I booked this place for the pool, hoping to use it to recover after running a marathon. I found out the pool is only open from 5pm-10pm, even though the sign says 7am. The desk said that's the policy. I might have picked another hotel if I'd known. For $265, I expected a lot more. The couch had awful stains, there was pubic hair on a washcloth I nearly used on my face, and the TV wouldn't connect to anything, so I ended up watching Netflix on my phone. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall when I tried to get a roll, and the shower and tub were a mess. Comfort Suites is usually decent, but this weekend was a disappointment, and I wish I'd chosen somewhere else.

I reported the noise, but it kept going and made it hard to rest. Guests should be able to sleep without constant disturbance and feel safe and respected. I hope management takes noise concerns more seriously. The noise went on through the night and made for a very disappointing stay. I expected a peaceful, comfortable place, especially from a brand that promotes good sleep, and that wasn't what I got.
