We didn’t feel safe here, and the website photos looked like they belonged to a hotel in the Caribbean, not this one. The room was in terrible shape: gray walls with several unrepaired dings, furniture that looked picked up from someone’s front lawn, and a floor refrigerator from an ’80s college dorm that we were afraid to open. The beds were oddly lumpy, and the pillows were infant-sized. We could hear the TV in the next room, and a device in the ceiling flashed all night. The outlets didn’t charge our phones, and the heat/AC unit roared like a jet engine all night. Simply awful.

We chose this place for a quick trip to the Fisher Theater, and being able to walk to the event was convenient. The staff were lovely, and the bright, window-filled entrance looks beautiful, but that’s where the luxury feeling stopped. We paid almost $300 for the room and parking, and the experience felt more like a two-star hotel. Neither of us plans to return. The elevator doors had something splattered on them, and the car smelled like the New York subway, even through a mask. Our bare room had no wall art; the mini-fridge was awkwardly tucked in a corner, and the TV and fridge were the only appliances. We didn’t use them, so can’t comment on them. The bathroom showerhead was coming away from the wall, and we couldn’t get hot water, so our showers were cold. There weren’t many complimentary toiletries, and breakfast wasn’t included either. For the price, I found the stay insulting. If you want a hotel experience that feels worth the cost, don’t stay here.

The location is perfect, and it’s a shame because a little more updating could make this place great. The main room looks like it’s been updated, but there’s no art, and the bathroom is dingy and hasn’t been updated. It has some kind of latch over the shower; when we used it in the morning, the water stayed cold. I didn’t see any bugs and really hope none show up. The walls are so thin I first thought people were talking loudly in the hall, then realized I could hear every word from the room next door. Our bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way, and the room was very expensive for what it was. The online pictures don’t match the reality, as other reviews say. I wish I’d read them before booking. I won’t be back.

The room was 61°F and the heat didn’t work. They wouldn’t move us because they said they were sold out, and offered no compensation since we’d booked through a third party, just some extra blankets. By morning, the shower still had no hot water and the tub wouldn’t drain. The room itself was bare, with no chair or art on the walls. A refrigerator was simply plugged into the wall and left on the floor. Don’t let the pictures fool you. This place is a dump, and we won’t stay again.

At $200 a night, I’d save my money. The front desk staff were nice, though I think they know what they’re dealing with. The rooms look like someone slapped them together with lipstick. There’s no drinking water in the rooms, no pool or gym, and no restaurant. The bar was closed. There aren’t any ice machines either, but they offered to fill the bucket if you brought it to the front desk. I don’t recommend it. I’ve stayed in nicer two-star hotels.
