My Place Hotel - Dickinson, ND

We’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, but My Place is the one where our family has felt most at home. Amanda, the manager, was thoughtful, kind and very helpful from my first phone inquiry through our long-term stay. It was clear she wanted our business, but her consideration and professionalism kept showing up, and the staff she has are the same way. All our children were treated warmly and with respect. In a time when good service can feel rare, this place really stands out. The rooms are meticulously clean, the prices are very competitive, and the free coffee counter is open 24 hours.

We only stayed one night, but the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The front desk woman was pleasant and suggested a dinner spot that turned out to be perfect. We liked being at the end of a quiet street where we could walk our dog. There wasn’t a continental breakfast, which was fine since it’s not our thing, and the pet fee was reasonable. I’d recommend this dog-friendly place.

My employees have stayed at My Place often, and they consistently say the staff are kind and treat them well. They also appreciate having a clean room after a long workday. Amanda and her team are always helpful, attentive and pleasant to work with. It’s conveniently close to Walmart, gas stations and restaurants, and our company will keep using it.

The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the pool was nice. The laundry facilities were useful after we’d already spent a week on the road. A full-size fridge and cooktop sound handy, but the cupboards were bare, with no plates, utensils, pans or cooking tools. I spotted one saucepan near the store, but don’t know if it cost extra. The bathroom vanity was tiny, with only about three inches of counter on either side of the sink. The bedroom was huge, so it seems they could’ve spared three feet to make the bathroom and vanity bigger. We hadn’t realized there was no breakfast when booking. They do advertise a breakfast-in-bed option, but you have to order the day before, and they bring a frozen sandwich or burrito to heat in the microwave.
