Dodge House Hotel & Convention Center

The room was clean and extremely quiet, with a firm bed, a larger-than-usual mini fridge, a small microwave, and a coffee maker. The dome area was a lot of fun, and the pool and hot tub looked clean, though we arrived too late to use them. The water pressure was great, but we had a little trouble with the hot water. The front desk responded quickly and was incredibly helpful. I’d absolutely stay again.

Edit: I’ve stayed here, and the pool is pretty dang cool. The indoor pool is great, and the restaurant is pretty dang good. I used to recommend Dodge House to lots of guests working on the wind turbines because of its amenities, but I won’t recommend it to anyone again. The shuttle driver failed to yield while turning and hit my mother. The driver admitted fault to police, but now says it was my mother’s fault. She was turning left into a parking lot while my mother was going by. The driver claimed she didn’t see her, admitted fault to police, and has her on camera. I work in construction, and seeing this from a staple Dodge City hotel was sad. Honesty and respect from a business are number one. Call me petty, but I won’t send anyone there again.

The whole family loved the pool and hot tub, especially the hot tub. Manager Nicole made us feel welcome, was great with our kids, and helped with every request. She was putting up Christmas decorations and even let the kids help. The place could use some updates, like new mattresses, which I was told are coming. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s an older hotel with lots of history, but the room was clean and the staff were super friendly. Nicole was especially helpful and kind. The indoor pool and hot tub were great, and it was good value for the money. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Dodge.
