Deluxe Motel, Los Angeles Area

My husband and I finally had a night without the baby, so we went on a date and checked into this motel. The woman who checked us in was really nice. Our room had a fridge, colorful lights around the ceiling, and glow-in-the-dark stars, which made it feel homey. For the price, I thought it was a good deal, especially with stores, restaurants, bars, and clubs nearby. I’d definitely stay again.

The bed was really comfortable, and the towels were nice and clean. I also liked the neon lights up at the ceiling. The guy at the front desk was helpful and nice. Best motel ever, in my opinion.

The amenities were bare minimum, but at least there were no critters. I was quoted 85, then arrived ten minutes later and was charged 90, plus 5 for a key deposit. In the morning they didn’t want to return the deposit, as if they barely believed we’d left one. That came to $95.

It’s small, there’s no phone, and management can be a real pain. The water pressure is good and the water gets hot, though. Rooms are pretty clean, and it’s kind of tucked away, so there’s definitely some privacy.
