Fairfield Inn & Suites Dublin

I’d choose any other hotel around here before coming back to Fairfield. The room was okay, but the AC kept switching to heat. The bigger problem was the booking. We’d reserved through Priceline, but their “virtual card” apparently didn’t work, and the hotel required us to pay again just to get into the room and contact Priceline. We were rushing to get ready for a wedding, so we didn’t have time to sort it out right then and gave the hotel our card. Even with all our confirmations, we had to do the work ourselves. It seemed this had happened before, and I think the hotel and Priceline should sort it out since we’d already paid. We had to deal with it twice, once that night and again the next morning, because the first person hadn’t passed the issue on at shift change. We contacted Priceline again and called the hotel back, only to learn they’d actually found the information but hadn’t called us. Just poor service. If you stay here, be aware that booking through a third party, however well known, may mean extra effort and payments on your end.

The response from management made this even more frustrating. Shanta, the assistant general manager, offered five thousand points for the trouble, worth about thirty to forty dollars. With Marriott advertising a one hundred percent satisfaction guarantee, that didn’t feel like a meaningful remedy. If this doesn’t qualify, I’m not sure what would. Christine, the general manager, was rude and dismissive when I tried to talk through the problems, and there was little accountability from leadership. My stay at this Fairfield was disappointing from beginning to end. We had multiple false fire alarms, one at two thirty seven in the morning and another the previous afternoon. The water wasn’t working when I arrived, and none of these issues had been communicated. The overnight alarm completely disrupted my rest. My company uses Marriott brands often, but after this experience I’m going to push for us to stop. The stay fell well below Marriott’s standards, and it didn’t feel like guest satisfaction was a priority.

We’re renovating our rooms to improve them, and our staff are friendly. We’re doing what we can as a Marriott to improve service and honor guest requests, so please bear with us. Give our location a chance and see for yourself. If something’s wrong, let a team member know and we’ll do our best to put it right.

The people here made the stay great. Staff were nice, and when my toddler left his stuffed animal behind, they let me know and held onto it until we returned from Florida. We love Dublin and had stopped here for one night on an 18 hour drive when we couldn’t make it all the way at the last minute. The carpet in our room was SUPER greasy, though, and we felt gross walking around without shoes. Breakfast also wasn’t what we usually expect. We ended up stopping a couple of hours down the road at a much cheaper Best Western and enjoyed that stay more.
