Park Point Marina Inn

The service was wonderful, and everyone we spoke with was so nice. We loved the clean room, comfy couch, and especially the very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. There was plenty of space and a gorgeous view. The hot tub and sauna were really nice, though I wish the pool were deeper than four feet. Breakfast was decent, the cute cocktail lounge had okay food at reasonable prices, and there was a free s'mores bar in the evening.

My husband and I had a really enjoyable stay. From the pool to the lovely breakfast, all parts of the visit were excellent. The room balcony was our favorite, with its beautiful lake view. Even though it was winter, the midday sun made it surprisingly warm.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was excellent, and the biscuits and gravy were some of the best I've had at a hotel, up there with the best anywhere. I also liked the cozy areas for spending time with family and friends. We had coffee at a table and played board games with the kids, and there was even a S'mores bar. If you're going to Duluth, Park Pount Marina Inn is a great choice. Paying extra for a deluxe room is worth it for the balcony and amazing views.

During a family emergency, after being at the Essential hospital, I needed somewhere to lay my head. Park Point was a God send, and Nicole, the night manager, saved the day by accommodating me. It was $126 a night and felt ten times the hotel that the $300-a-night Sheraton next to the hospital did. The room seemed brand new, and the breakfast was hands down the best continental breakfast I've ever had. I wish there had been tip jars for the attendants. Park Point felt much safer than downtown. I also enjoyed learning about the old Duluth Boat House the hotel was built upon. It's a neat part of Duluth history and makes me want to ask if I can metal detect the grounds for dropped Victorian treasures. If you're staying in Duluth, you'll be very pleased here any time of year.
