The room was huge, with a large jetted tub, gas fireplace, and wraparound balcony looking out at the canal and lift bridge. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, breakfast and coffee were excellent, and the staff were pretty friendly. The bathroom was massive, with a large alwalk in bathroom, and shopping and restaurants were close by. They also have books, magazines, and puzzles you can bring to your room. My main complaint was the weak water pressure and lame shower head. It took several minutes to fill the jetted tub, and I didn’t feel like I could rinse all the soap and shampoo off in the shower. I also had to call the front desk for more towels and coffee pods. I’d stay again, but would switch a canal/lift bridge view for a lake/canal view.

We had a great two-night stay and will definitely be back. Our two-queen suite was one of the most spacious rooms we’ve stayed in, and the whole hotel was very clean, from the rooms and hallways to the breakfast area. The breakfast was easily the best hotel breakfast we’ve had. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The lake view was the best, and there are lots of restaurants and museums within walking distance. The rooms are extremely clean, and the big pool and two hot tubs are cleaned and sanitized every day. If you forget goggles or floaties, the front desk has some you can borrow for free. Breakfast was wonderful, with eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, potatoes, juice, milk, cereal, and plenty more. Every staff member greeted us with a big smile and a hello, and we loved that. I’ve stayed here before and will keep coming back. If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would!

The lake view is awesome, the rooms are spacious and clean, and breakfast has lots of fresh choices. Every staff member we ran into was super friendly, greeting us with a smile as soon as we walked in. This is a must-stay if you’re visiting duluth. I’d change my plans just to stay at the lift bridge lodge.
