Days Inn by Wyndham Easton

The location is convenient, close to Walmart and the Easton diner down the road, which was very good. But I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We came with family for the week of the 4th of July, and the front desk staff were rude and unfriendly from the start. We had booked for the pool, but it was closed, and they told us to go to another hotel if we didn’t like it. There was no hospitality. My boyfriend and I shared a room. It seemed clean at first, though humid, but the top sheet was dirty and we took it off. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable, and the fridge, freezer, and TV worked. There were only a couple of towels. I was afraid to try the hairdryer in case bugs came out of it. There were bugs in the light fixtures, chipped paint on the green walls, dirty curtains, and the bathroom looked run-down. The carpet didn’t feel sanitary to walk on barefoot. The shower’s hot water knob just kept turning, so we had no hot water. We didn’t ask for another room because the desk staff had been rude and said the hotel was fully booked, even though it seemed like we were the only people there. I usually check for bedbugs at hotels and didn’t find any, just one beetle on the wall, probably from the heat and humidity. We slept in and missed breakfast, which is only served until 9 am. Family members who went said it was terrible, with only waffles and cereal and blah coffee, so they went to the Easton diner instead. There’s another hotel down the road, so stay there.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms weren’t maintained or cleaned properly, and I even found an old pair of another guest’s pants left in mine. Everything felt sticky, and the carpet stuck to my feet. There was a strange sweet smell over cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room. The rooms and building didn’t look as advertised, and the online room pictures seemed clearly AI-generated. The pool looked like it hadn’t been open for years. Before check-in, the front desk was barely any help on the phone. The whole facility felt poorly built and badly covered up.

When I arrived, the room smelled musty. The next day, housekeeping took the dirty towels when I went out and left no clean ones. I also found bugs in the sink and bathroom.

Please don’t book here if, like me, you saw a reasonable price and a familiar name but don’t know the area. I was shocked by how dirty it was, and there was smoke smell everywhere. It didn’t feel safe, and neither the TV nor the internet worked. If you can, spend a little more and stay somewhere better.
