The room was in rough shape when we got there: dirt and scratches on the walls, a footprint in the shower, dirty or missing grout, and a sink coated in calcium. I’d emailed and called ahead to ask for a bottle of sparkling wine to be placed in the room for my husband’s birthday, but never heard back. For that price, it wasn’t worth it.

The rooms were clean, and I loved having the outdoor patio for a quick afternoon break. The bathroom could use a deep scrub and some bleach, though, and it would be handy to have a mini fridge in each room instead of only one in the common area. There’s no onsite front desk staff, at least when we visited, but they were helpful over the phone. You can hear through the walls, though they provide a noise machine, which was a nice touch. I’d stay again because the hotel is simple and convenient.

We stayed four nights after booking through the Chase travel portal. The location worked well, about a 12-minute walk to Edgartown, with some great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The hotel was super clean, the common area was great, and the beds were comfortable, though a couple of the pillows smelled a bit funky. We got two free water bottles and a tote, and since it was just before the season really started, the rate was around $315 a night, which wasn’t too bad.

The communal living room and kitchen were nicely decorated and comfortable, and it was great to have that extra space. But nobody seemed to be keeping up with it. There were dirty dishes in the sink and old food in the fridge, and the room cleaners didn’t take care of those areas. I ended up running the dishwasher so we’d have clean coffee cups.

Everything was close enough to walk to, from food and drinks to beaches and other fun. Check-in was self-service, so I went straight to my room without dealing with a front desk. It was quiet and comfortable, with lovely decor and a big walk-in shower. The staff I spoke with were kind and helpful, and went above and beyond to make the trip comfortable. I’ll stay here again.
