Comfort Inn Edinburg

The staff are super nice and respectful, but I don’t think we’ll return. The hotel already looks old, the hallways are hot, and the rooms smell and look old too. To use the gym, you have to go to the hotel next door. That building smelled like a home kitchen after someone had cooked with lots of onion. It had no AC, and neither did the gym, which only had a square fan for ventilation. It was stinky too.

We had a pleasant weekend, with a good breakfast and courteous staff, especially housekeeping. My spouse had a personal problem, and they cleaned it up right away. I’ll definitely stay here next time I’m down this way.

We booked the most expensive suite at this Comfort Inn, the one with a jacuzzi, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room had mold all over and smelled like mildew, like a military surplus store. The bed, desks, and couch had visible stains, and the TV was broken, though they fixed it when we reported it. After a storm hit Edinburg, we came back to find the room flooded. A large leak had broken through the wall beside the AC unit and was still active. We had to cancel the stay and request a refund.

Christian at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous, and check-in was quicker than I expected. We were on the first floor, and even though I’d anticipated noise from the second floor, my family had a restful night. The suite had two queen beds plus a private room with two bunk beds, with enough space for four people. It was clean and comfortable, and the beds and cushiony pillows were perfect. The garden bathtub was a nice change from the standard tubs at other hotels. We had breakfast one morning, and the food was good. My family would definitely stay here again.
