The front desk employee saw our brown skin and called us “Mexicans.” That was gross behavior, and she was rude, racist, and unhelpful throughout every interaction I had with the hotel. She showed no interest in helping with my concerns or fixing the stay they’d messed up. She booked a room in my name, charged me twice for one room, then said they couldn’t refund it and refused to fix the charge. Do not stay here!

I arrived around 5 am after a six-hour drive, and the receptionist was nowhere to be found. We called the hotel after waiting 15 minutes and woke her up. She came out through a side door, red-faced and yawning, then said she didn’t know how to check me in that early. I’ve worked in hotels, and we don’t offer day-use rooms? I chose Wyndham because I genuinely love the hotels and even have a membership. It’s ridiculous to be turned away because someone was napping behind the desk and couldn’t do her job.

We'd stayed here before and found it pretty, well maintained, and reasonably priced, so this weekend was a shock. The first room, upstairs, smelled damp and strongly of stale cigarettes. My wife went to the desk and they moved us downstairs; that room still smelled stale, though at least it didn't smell of smoke. The toilet was clogged, so we had to get a plunger from the front desk. The place looked worn out, from the cracked, taped lampshade to the scuffed, uneven bathtub, and there wasn't even a coffee pot. I didn't spot any roaches, thank God, but we're definitely not coming back. I'd rather sleep in my car. Maybe there are new owners.

The people who work there are salt of the earth, but $165 a night in a little town where nobody really goes is a lot. I couldn't stay with my grand grand as long as I'd hoped because it cost more than Los Angeles or New York. For that price, I could've stayed at a five-star hotel in Vegas. Thanks for the expensive stay ☺️. If you're visiting family, I'd try to find someone to stay with.

My mom spent about a week here and said the staff were really kind and accommodating. The room wasn't handicap accessible, but they put her on the ground floor near the door. From what I saw, the rooms were fairly nice and clean. There's a breakfast station and some other amenities too.
