Hampton Inn & Suites El Paso West

The room was comfortable, and the people there were great. Our airport shuttle driver was personable and gave us something of a tour on the way, even though the airport is a hike away. At breakfast, a woman made waffles for us and found syrup so we could make chocolate milk.

Everything else worked well for me, and I’d gladly stay here again. The rooms, staff, and location were all good. Breakfast has a few options, though I may just be getting picky about what I eat. I did wish they had guest laundry.

The staff were nice, and my room was clean during my first stay. The hotel was being renovated then. I hadn’t realized it was 30 minutes from the airport when I booked, and the $25 incidental charge on top of the reservation was reasonable. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. The gym was a letdown. When I asked the front desk where it was, the employee showed me the temporary little workout room but didn’t mention the equipment wasn’t working. Later, neither treadmill worked, and neither did the elliptical or bike. At checkout, another desk employee apologized and said new gym equipment was coming soon. I wish the first person had told me. Update 11/7/25: I stay here for work every month. Last week my floor was sticky, but the front desk guy was very helpful. Ms. Inez came to mop it, and she was so nice. She clearly enjoys her job. She and the young man at the desk who used to live in Wisconsin both deserve a raise or a bonus. Excellent customer service. I changed my service rating to “5”.

They still recognize me and greet me with a smile whenever I come back. I’ve stayed here around five times over the past three years, usually for a couple of weeks each visit, and the staff are always very friendly.
