Quality Inn & Suites

For $134 a night, I expected a lot more. The WiFi was strong and worked well, but the room was very dirty. They seem to be renovating, yet the carpet was stained and hadn’t been vacuumed. There was at least an inch of space under our door, letting in light and noise, and the bathroom door wouldn’t shut because it hit the tile. Terrible stay.

Management was helpful and accommodating, and I didn’t hate the stay, but this definitely didn’t feel like a three-star hotel. They’re remodeling, which the place needs, and I hope the work takes care of the problems. Housekeeping was poor: there was mold on the fridge seal and every corner of the bathroom floor was filthy. The smoke detector was missing, and a roughly three-by-three-foot patch in the ceiling had been left unfinished.

UPDATE, 1-15-19, two years later: I was checking my old reviews to see if any needed updates and laughed so hard at this one. I called to ask whether the pool had been fixed. They said it was under maintenance, with no expected repair date because of high costs and other needed repairs. Original post: The pool still wasn’t fixed, five years later, according to another guest. The hotel was plain dirty, with no hot coffee, only cold. The hallway and room floors creaked like an old farmhouse and felt as if you might fall through. They weren’t clean either, and there were broken bulbs in the bathroom sockets. The staff, though, were very nice.

The rate was very good, but the room wasn’t clean. There were pizza, mushrooms, and dirt left in it, so we called the front desk while we were out at work. They apologized and said they’d take care of it. When we got back, nothing had changed. This motel has a lot of potential if they would just clean.
