Valley River Inn

The rooms were spacious, with a good sized TV and desk, comfortable beds, and a great shower. After hours, the doors are locked and someone stays at reception overnight. There are several restaurants within walking distance, plus a mall for shopping. We're looking forward to coming back to Eugene and won't book anywhere else. Valley River Inn has the feel of a trusted old establishment that lets you relax as soon as you step into reception. The desk staff sorted out our rooms efficiently and offered us extra water, which was great. A manager passing through also checked that everything was okay. They told us some of the hotel's history and what was happening there now, which we enjoyed.

We arrived late and Adam gave us a warm welcome. The lobby makes a strong impression, and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. The bed had just the right balance of firmness and comfort. The location is convenient for local restaurants and shopping, with easy freeway access, yet it was very quiet. I'd have given five stars if not for the night crew. The teapot in our room suddenly stopped working, and despite the issue we never got a working one during the last two days of our stay.

I've visited on separate occasions for work and vacation, and it was well worth it both times. The restaurant is spectacular, and Valley River Center is an easy walk away. It's an older hotel, but very well maintained, with cute little parks tucked between the buildings and walkways connecting the rooms to the main lobby.

We're spending a week in Eugene and loving our stay at Valley River Inn. The hotel has a beautiful modern lodge feel and is tastefully decorated. Our room is spacious, with a nice bathroom, a comfy king bed, and a couch. We also have a balcony overlooking the river. The service has been fantastic. There's a walking and bike path right outside, and we rented public bikes along the path by the hotel. Sweetwaters is another highlight. The food is delicious, and the ingredients seem local, clean, and high quality. We'll definitely come back.
