Super 8 by Wyndham Eureka Springs

We used to come here with our grandson because of the heated indoor pool, but this visit was a letdown. The pool had been closed for at least three weeks, and nobody mentioned that when we booked. The outside looked dirty and worn, and the room felt old, worn, and grungy. At check-in, nobody was at the desk. My husband waited 15 minutes, then asked someone from housekeeping to find a person who could check us in. When she eventually showed up, she was rude and acted like we were putting her out. This was our last stay here.

We needed somewhere quiet on the edge of town, and this hotel worked well for us. We chose it for the dog-friendly policy and its 8.6 rating. The rooms were spacious and clean, the price was reasonable, and breakfast was included and good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely indoor pool and jacuzzi, too. I did report two issues: the sink leaked when turned on, and the electric door switch took several tries to open. We'll definitely stay again, with or without dogs.

We booked the poolside suite and only found out the pool was out of order when we arrived. That wasn't disclosed during confirmation, and the rest of the stay was extremely disappointing. The room smelled musty, was poorly maintained, and had black mold on the ceiling. A leak had caused part of the ceiling above the ice machine to cave in onto the machine. My wife tried the jetted tub, but its jets clearly weren't clean and sprayed dirt out. I've started an email thread with customer support and still haven't heard from the owners. We won't stay here again.

The room was very nice, clean, and well kept, and the hotel grounds were in good shape too. At check-in, the woman at the front desk was phenomenal, incredibly kind and helpful, and made it feel like coming home to family. We'll definitely stay again.
