The staff at Travelodge by Wyndham were the highlight. They were courteous, welcoming, helpful, and clearly tried to make guests feel comfortable. The room itself was a letdown: worn furniture, stained-looking carpet, dusty surfaces, and a bathroom that didn’t meet basic hygiene standards. It felt outdated and poorly maintained, as though it hadn’t been renovated in a long time. The bed was uncomfortable, and the room felt neglected rather than restful. I appreciate the team’s effort, but I’d consider other accommodations unless the rooms and facilities get major improvements. Renovation and better attention to cleanliness could make this location a much better place to stay.

The staff were friendly, the linens were good, and the bathroom was clean. But there was no AC, and the tower fan only partly worked. We happened to be there during a hot, humid weekend, so that was rough. The bed and floor creaked a lot, and it was very loud outside, with some kind of street bump. The parking lot is tiny, made worse by construction trucks and a taco truck taking up several spaces.

The room had a refrigerator and microwave, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean and recently refurbished, with new bathroom sinks and countertops. The price felt higher than I’d expect for the amenities, though the Eureka area or high season may explain it. I’d stay again.

Everything else was wonderful: the room was clean, the water pressure was good, the coffee tasted good, and the pillows were awesome. The only reason I’d take a star off the room is that the bed could’ve been a little softer.

The staff made check-in and checkout easy, and parking was no trouble. There’s a grocery store across the street and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Kristina’s restaurant is worth a try for the huge portions. The place was quiet enough despite being right in front of Highway 101, though at night a homeless woman knocked on my door asking for a cigarette. I expected less, but the room was clean and spacious, with nice furnishings and good amenities. The bed was firm. A nice place for Eureka.
