Holiday Inn Express Evansville Downtown by IHG

It’s a short walk to the Ford Center, and we loved the hotel for our recent trip there. The place was beautiful and spotless, and breakfast was the best continental spread I’ve ever had, with lots of variety and everything fresh and well stocked. There’s no pool or hot tub, and the price is a little higher than some nearby options. Still, the comfort, cleanliness, and convenient location made it worthwhile. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the Ford Center.

Carl made check-in a pleasant start to the stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and felt safe. It’s in a great downtown location with lots of food options.

Construction has been going on nonstop right outside for months, and I found the employees mostly unfriendly. The rooms aren’t cleaned as they should be: the bathroom floor was dirty and full of hair, and there was caked-on filth under the metal shower drain cover. Stains had been in the hallway for over a month. The vacuums, mops, and brooms are often broken because nobody looks after them. The employees seem to run the place and call the owner when things don’t go their way. Upper management and ownership are crooked. They had me move my and my child’s life five hours across the state, made promises, then threw us out for no good reason. Google and their site say they’re pet friendly, and they’ve let previous employees stay with dogs, but they say they aren’t pet friendly. Beware!

Room 609 had a great view, and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast buffet food was great, and the staff were VERY friendly and welcoming. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. Two thumbs up, and I’d give it six stars out of five. Holiday Inn Express & Suites and room 609 for the win!
