Bayside Bed and Breakfast

Everything feels original and vintage in this charming old mansion, with high ceilings and soft beds. It's close to downtown shops and food, and the owners are always available and communicate well. The front entry and private room codes also made it feel very secure. It's still going through an ownership transfer, and changes are being made, which is why I didn't give it five stars. Still, it's a hidden gem. During the snow storm, they really went out of their way to help me find somewhere to sleep between hospital shifts.

The Forest room was so comfortable, and the view is amazing. The whole house is immaculate. This beautiful old house has kept its older charm while being updated so nicely. A wonderful place to stay.

We only lasted two hours, and I left very disappointed. The Forest room had almost no decorations or anything on the walls, so the house didn't feel cozy at all. The floors squeaked badly, and it was so loud hearing people walk around that we felt we had to whisper. We couldn't find the garden, or get to it because work was going on. The balcony felt so squishy that we were afraid to walk on it. The bathroom smelled like sewage, and the room was hot. The fan and light didn't work. The room's “cookies” had expired two months earlier. We chose the place because the reviews were so good, and I really wanted to like it, but the stay was not good.

The property is nice and in a safe location. Our clean room had a comfortable bed and was very comfortable overall. The bathroom was private, but separate from the room, so we had to walk through a common hallway to use it.
