Regency Inn Fairfield

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The bed was new and comfortable, and there was a large new TV, refrigerator, and microwave. Management was polite and helpful. There’s a wonderful diner next to the motel, with other fast food places close by too. I’d stay again without a problem.

The rooms weren’t bad, and they had a microwave, fridge, and TV. But they charged $15/ dog, and I’ve paid less for nicer rooms. As my daughter put it, “the smell isn't too bad once you get used to it.” The smell, the bathroom, and the cost of over a hundred dollars were the downsides.

At exactly 11:00 AM, staff came to our room, told us “get out,” took our keys, and waited outside while we spent the 5 minutes it took to finish gathering our things. We’d been quiet and hadn’t caused any trouble. We were only a few minutes late, so I can’t understand that treatment. The room was expensive, and this was the worst hotel experience of our lives. The company that sent us there while our RV was being repaired said they’d never send anyone there again. The next night we picked a different hotel that cost half as much and was much nicer. I’d sleep on the sidewalk before going back.

I’ve stayed here three times, each in a different room, and the rooms are good for a place outside a corporate chain. But the last time, they suddenly wouldn’t let us rent again and gave no explanation. Pretty annoying. The owners live on site and don’t speak very good English. That stay, I woke up with several bites on my arm and face. Maybe there are bedbugs, or at least spiders, but it happened only that one time.
