Travelodge by Wyndham Fairfield/Napa Valley

The location is quiet, with gas and food close enough. We stayed three nights in a top-floor room, and I never saw housekeeping come upstairs once. It left me wondering how those rooms get cleaned. For a night or two, though, it’s not a bad hotel.

I stayed in room 118 at Travelodge 4625 Central Way, Fairfield, CA 94534 on 1/20/26. The next morning I told the desk guy the light over the bathroom sink wasn’t working and probably needed a new bulb. The shower wall blocks the ceiling light, so the sink area is dim without it. I rented the same room, 118, almost two weeks later on 1/31/26, and the light was still out. I went to the front desk at 9:30 this morning for coffee, as I’d done several times before, and the lady said they had no coffee and I’d have to use the little coffee maker in the room. I didn’t mention the light again since that clearly hadn’t helped. Bad maintenance, and a maid should have noticed it too. That’s why I’m giving the hotel only 2 stars.

For a room at this price, this is one of the better options, and I’d stay again for the low rate. But only for the price. Mine was the smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, cozy but cramped, with a sour, carpet-like smell. Luckily I’d brought an air sanitizer. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and spacious, and I didn’t see bugs. They managed to fit in a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and small desk. The TV was small and off-center, while the AC had just a hot and cold dial and blew straight onto the bed. Wi-Fi was terrible in the second building and only worked by the window. I’d bring allergy meds and an air freshener next time, along with patience for the Wi-Fi.

Wouldn’t recommend it. The room was horrendously dirty, people hung out on every stairway each night, and there was dog poop all over the grounds. No good!!!
