Falmouth Inn

We got back from the beach covered in sand and couldn't take a proper shower because there was no hot water. At check-in, I was told the plumber couldn't come until the next day. We rinsed with cold water, but sand was still everywhere, so we barely slept. I had prepaid for two non-refundable rooms, and the desk clerk seemed uninterested in the problem or in helping guests, though I don't know if she was simply poor at customer service or tired of being yelled at about the water. There should have been a manager available, since they knew there would be issues. The rooms are worn down, and the hallway smelled moldy. I sent my complaints through the survey email and got no reply. When I tried the address on the website, my email bounced back saying it was blocked. I wouldn't recommend staying here and won't return.

I booked two nights for 9/20/24 and 9/21/24 for a wedding, but left room 109 as soon as I checked in. There was a huge urine stain in the middle of the bed, other stains on the sheets, blankets, and carpet, and mold growing on the curtains. I asked the front desk for a refund and was refused. I then contacted the email address the desk staff gave me to request a full refund of my deposit and the charge made at check-in, but they refused that too. I didn't expect an unsanitary, unsafe place, let alone to be denied a refund over health hazards. This is unacceptable. Please do better. EDIT: Be prepared to get none of your money back. Staying here is a SCAM. I'll be reporting it to the board of health and BBB.

We were too tired to ask for another room, so we slept on top of towels. The room was reasonably clean, and the bedding didn't smell dirty, but there were large, obvious brown stains on it. That's unhygienic and needs replacing right away. It was disappointing and absolutely horrific that they made the bed with those sheets. Definitely not worth the price. I put a white towel on the bed in the photos to show the contrast. Would you feel comfortable sleeping there? Looking back, we should have asked for another room or at least a partial refund.

One of us wasn't feeling well, but they still charged us $20 to check in a couple of hours early. It wouldn't have cost them anything to be as nice as their sign says.
