Mariner Motel

It's in a pretty, convenient spot, and I wish the place could be made clean and healthy. Our room smelled moldy and was dirty. The cleaners tried, but I think the motel needs remediation. The sheets also had a strong fragrance, and motel sheets and towels should be washed with unscented detergent.

From the outside, it looked like Shitt's Creek, which had us worried, but we were very happy once we saw the room. It was spotless and roomy, with a clean bathroom, a great shower, and a comfortable, clean bed. There was a TV, Wi-Fi, a small fridge and freezer, and a little coffee maker. The pool was clean and didn't smell of chlorine, and the office had ice. Parking was available, and you can walk from the main road into the busy downtown. The area felt safe, too.

A good little Cape getaway, or a handy place for the night before a Martha's Vineyard ferry. It took less than 10 minutes to walk to the local restaurants, shops, and bars, and parking is right outside your door. The office has ice, too. The classic Cape Cod motel rooms were recently refreshed and updated in June 2025. Ours was spotless, cute, and had everything we needed. The outdoor pool is about eight feet across, more for a short stretch swim like my husband enjoys than a resort-style swim. The pool area was clean and well kept.

The bathroom reeked of sewage, the sheets were stained, and the tub wouldn't drain. We left after the first night of our two-night booking. They said they'd refund the second night, but never did, even after the booking company tried to get it sorted. Falmouth has plenty of good places to stay. I wouldn't let my dog sleep here.
