Expressway Suites Fargo

The room was nice, and breakfast had a good warm option, which I liked. We were in town for the weekend and booked here. The water park looked like fun, but my husband and I didn't use it since we weren't interested in hanging around other people's kids.

Our room hadn't been cleaned well, with floors that looked unswept, and the service didn't match what we paid. Prices had gone up for the hockey tournament, but the staff weren't friendly or even making small talk. At 10 pm the evening desk clerk told us to leave the lounge, though we weren't being loud and just wanted a place to gather. Meanwhile, she let about 25 people stay in the pool and tried to charge us $200 for the meeting room. At check-in the man at the desk was very rude. I don't know whether it was because we were a youth hockey team or because we all arrived together.

My daughter got a bad rash after using the hot tub. We then heard the hotel had been caught washing sheets in it. When I called the office, they said they only do that with badly soiled sheets, but told me not to worry because they drain the tub.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool area was nice, and having a free washer and dryer was helpful for getting a load of laundry done. The room had plenty of space and was clean and comfortable, though the pullout couch wasn't good. A few things looked worn, but everything worked. I'd recommend it if you need more room than a standard hotel room.
