Four Points by Sheraton Fargo Medical Center

I was promised a 4pm checkout by Desiree at the front desk, then at 2pm, while I was asleep after a late night Zoom conference, a man from the desk called and said I had to be out in 20 minutes. He said Desiree hadn't put my checkout time in the notes. I had to rush, couldn't shower, and housekeeping was knocking five minutes before even that new checkout time. They should have waited. This isn't the hospitality I expect from a worldwide brand. If they'd needed me out, they should've told me early that morning, or Desiree shouldn't have overpromised. The man who called didn't apologize. He made excuses about being understaffed for housekeeping and fully booked, but offered no future stay comp, food discount, or free market item. The front desk guys robotically wished me a great day as I left after being kicked out on short notice. The elevator smelled like cigars too. Very off brand for Marriott. I don't recommend staying here and won't book another night. I moved to Fargo Courtyard Moorhead for the rest of the week.

The room they first gave me had a door that wouldn't close, so I went downstairs and they apologized and switched me. The replacement was okay, and the shower was nice, but it only had a handle on the outside, which was weird. The bed was like a rock, and the old bed stands looked awful. I woke at 4am with my hip hurting badly. Breakfast wasn't good and was way overpriced, despite their saying they had a chef. My soda came in a small glass, and when I asked for a refill they said it would cost extra. The soda alone was $8.00. Skip breakfast there. I won't stay again.

The staff at the Four Points, especially Gabi, Desiree, Pat, and the rest of the team, supported us from my first look at the space through the event cleanup. It was a completely new kind of project for me, and they were welcoming, flexible, and excited along with us as we planned and hosted it. I could ask any question without hesitation, always got a quick response, and never felt like a bother. Their kindness helped make the event a success. I can't thank them enough, would highly recommend working with them, and would love to do so again.

After a three hour drive, I got to my room and climbed into what looked like a made bed. About 15-20 mins later, I realized it smelled like pee, and sure enough I was lying in someone else's urine. I'm still shaken and don't think I can stay at a Marriott again. How is it legal to make a bed with dirty sheets like that?!
