Red River Lodge

Even with the hotel under renovation, we had a great stay. A little continental breakfast was included too.

I don’t think I’ll stay here again. I shouldn’t have to clean a room before I can use it, and that’s what happened. There was no apology, discount, payment for having to make the bed and clean the room, or even a thank you. When we entered, the bed wasn’t made and had no sheets or blanket, so I went to the front desk for linens. I’ll give them some leeway because they’re remodeling, but there were paint streaks in the jetted tub, no towels or bath mat for it, a mess under the cushions, no bathroom vent cover, and paint splatters everywhere. They should keep the mess somewhat contained during a remodel, but they didn’t. I understand there’s new management, but they weren’t friendly and seemed overworked and overwhelmed. Customers keep a business going and should be appreciated, since word of mouth can be the best or worst advertising.

There was a hole in the bathroom door, and the TV didn’t work. Breakfast was only waffles, cereal, and yogurt. There wasn’t a microwave in the room either, although it was listed as having one. It wasn’t bad enough to leave since we were only staying one night, but I wouldn’t have stayed a second.

I’ve called the hotel 8 times about an item I lost, and I still haven’t been able to reach anyone. It’s almost impossible to get in contact with them.
