Silver River Adobe Inn has a rustic charm and a long history that sets it apart from the usual motel with a TV. It's an authentic Bread & Breakfast, with a lot of thought put into the property. The rooms are right beside the river, nature is all around, and our accommodations were clean and tidy. The entrance from the road is tricky, but pulling into firehouse parking makes it easy, and the location felt safe. Breakfast was handmade and the most wholesome meal I had on the trip. The hosts are genuine and know so much about nature, the region, and history. We had easy, interesting conversations with them, the kind you used to have with strangers years ago. It's a lovely spot for explorers, couples, solo travelers, or anyone happy to take a moment to connect.

We stopped in Farmington for the night while driving across the country with my brother, a friend, and my dog. The inn was very dog friendly and accommodating. Its rustic wood and stone construction felt extremely cozy. We had a wonderful home cooked breakfast at the communal table, which looks out over the river and nature. The couple who run the inn have been in the business for 40 years and have traveled around the world. We enjoyed talking with them. I highly recommend this place and would stop here again next time I'm driving through new mexico.

The cottonwood room had a modest view of the San Juan river through its large windows, which my daughter loved. It's a warm, lovely place, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the history the owners shared with us.

Tucked away above the river, this beautiful place gave us lovely scenery and a chance to take photos of birds and wildlife. Our room was clean and beautiful, and we had a delicious breakfast. Diane and David were wonderful hosts, and we had some great conversations with them. We look forward to coming back for another relaxing visit.

Dave and Diana (not Diane) made us feel welcome, and we left feeling like we’d learned something and had a fulfilling stay. If you’re traveling around the Four Corners NM region and need somewhere for a night or two, book here as long as you can manage without a TV remote in your hand. One tip: reach the Inn using the Farmington Firehouse Station #6 driveway. There’s a paved entrance that’s much easier to navigate.
