They charged me at least $20 more when I paid early to extend my stay. I paid $167 for the first two nights, then nearly $190 for another two nights at 9 a.m., even though checkout, according to them, wasn’t until 11. After that, I planned to wait until closer to checkout before paying each time. The day before I paid early, the main office was closed until late afternoon, and neither the main phone nor the alternate number on the sign was answered. I postponed my plans because I didn’t want to leave my belongings unattended. They also kept bothering my guests, even though their rule allows visitors as long as they don’t stay overnight. Meanwhile, the friendly older man in the wheelchair next door openly smoked meth outside his room. This is not the best inn in town.

The owners were so nice, and they didn’t jack up the price when other hotels were charging over three times as much during a particularly busy weekend. It’s family owned and independently run. The rooms are clean and cared for, though a bit dated, and the thick walls kept noise down. Even as a cheaper place, we didn’t see the usual sketchy guests you find at budget hotels. We’ll definitely stay again.

The woman was kind and helpful, which I really appreciated. But the bathroom had bugs and roaches, and the pillows worried us most: odd burn marks, blood spots, and other little stains. We’ll book another room. If you can overlook all that and only need a place for one night, maybe it’ll do.

The staff were rude for no reason, and the service was horrible. People are breaking into cars, the rooms are dreadful, the TVs don’t work at all, and the fridges are always broken. I can’t understand how this place has a 3.5-star rating. It’s truly awful, and I’d never come back even if I desperately needed sleep or shelter. If I could, I wouldn’t give it a single star.
