Best Western Firestone Inn & Suites

Jeremiah at the front desk made my visit. He was warm and professional, and took care to make check-in quick and easy as soon as I arrived. His genuine attention and willingness to help made everything feel simple and made my stay more enjoyable. I highly recommend Best Western, especially because of the care Jeremiah showed toward guests.

The rooms were clean, and the lobby decor had a cozy feel. I also appreciated that they allow pets, including cats, dogs, and even birds. But the rooms are cramped, especially with three adults in a two-queen room. The bathroom is squeezed beside the mini fridge and microwave, which makes it unpleasant to prepare food nearby. There were no outlets apart from two on the lamp. For a room meant to sleep four, the layout feels poorly thought out. Breakfast was only okay. The hot food was cold, including my ham even though it was in a warmer. The butter for waffles was frozen and barely spread, so I was waiting for it to melt while writing this. We got there at 5 a.m. while moving across the country and too tired to keep driving. We paid over $100 for the full room rate, then were told we had to leave at 9 a.m. It was 7 a.m. as I wrote this, and I still hadn't managed to eat breakfast. I might not get any sleep at all. That feels ridiculous.

The hotel is right off the highway, and check-in was easy. Breakfast was a letdown unless yogurt and cereal are enough for you. The room had a chemical smell that got into all our clothes, and I immediately got a migraine. We arrived too late to switch hotels, so I slept with the window open. The lobby and elevator also smelled strongly of cleaner, with the elevator scent seeming like it might be covering something up. The tub bottom flexed and popped up and down when I stood in it. We had to wash everything in our suitcase to get the smell out. There were no air fresheners in the room, so I don't know what caused it. Afterward, I tried to tell the manager about the odor but was given an incorrect email address. Someone who said they were the manager replied from the front desk email, offered a refund, and asked me to send my credit card details. After a few emails, it became clear this was a scam and the hotel's email had been hacked. The person used a fake name and phone number associated with scams. When I called the front desk, they looked at the email chain but seemed unbothered. I asked for a manager to call me, but nobody did. Corporate customer service never responded either, and more than two weeks have passed without follow-up. The hacked email is concerning, and the lack of response is worse. Book carefully, since scammers may be able to access your information.

The hotel was really quiet, which I was very happy about. Housekeeping was amazing and went above and beyond to make guests happy, and the place was really clean. The staff actually care about whether you're having a good day. Bernardo was a great guy at check-in and made sure I had everything I needed. We'll definitely come back.
