Sonesta ES Suites Flagstaff

The place felt like a cozy apartment for the night, with a kitchen, living room, fireplace, sofa, and a TV with all the channels. I didn't use the fireplace or have any wood for it, but the room was warm and comfortable, and the bedding was great. The front desk man was really nice, and check-in went smoothly. I usually stay in Sedona, but after a few rainy days I decided to save money and stay in Flagstaff. I arrived around 9 p.m. on November 18th 2025. It was snowing when I left, and I was very happy with the stay and the staff. I'll definitely come back when traveling through.

The location worked perfectly for our travels, and each of us had a mostly comfortable bedroom. The young man at check-in was pleasant and did what he could to help. But the dishwasher was disgusting, the cookware was dirty and basically unusable, the TVs had no directions, and the couch was stained, torn, and smelled unclean. The manager in the morning didn't seem to care about our experience. I wouldn't stay at a Sonesta again unless I was desperate.

The rooms were huge, breakfast was decent, and the staff were nice. Still, they felt much older and dirtier than the pictures suggested. There seemed to be feces and blood, or something like that, on the walls. One night the AC was set to cool, but it felt like heat and we were burning up all night, even after turning it off. The unit wouldn't cool the room down. I don't know if I'd stay again.

The staff were super friendly, and Mason was especially helpful and kind while sorting out a few needs and fixes. The location was convenient, and I'd come back. We had two of the same room type, but one was much nicer: the cleaner one had better-looking furniture, though its kitchen sink leaked. The other was really dirty and worn.
