Cabin #10 was just right for our relaxing little getaway with our pup. It was clean, had a well-equipped kitchen, a lovely porch, and great views. The resort is well kept, and we loved the staff and owner too. This was our first stay, but we loved everything and look forward to coming back whenever we can. See you again!

The cabins and RV spots are spread around the lake. We visited in late September, when the weather was perfect and there weren’t crowds. In summer, it gets busy with lots of family-friendly water sports. Our cabin was adequate and had the usual amenities.

The cabins have a great view, almost like a postcard. The staff are friendly and know their stuff. Absolutely amazing.

The beds were incredibly comfortable. I slept wonderfully both nights, especially compared with a recent stay at a new hotel where the hard mattresses left me sleeping badly. These are older cabins, but they’ve made sure the comforts are good. I loved the updates underway, including new paneling and kitchens, butcher block counters, a stone sink, gas stove, and dishwasher. There’s a Treager on each cabin deck, so it’s easy to barbecue while taking in the view. We stayed in cabin 5 for my daughter’s birthday party. It shares a wall with cabin 6, and the cabins have been here a long time, so some floors are uneven and some doors need to be pulled shut. To me, that’s part of the charm and the relaxed summer cabin feel. The boat launch, swimming hole for adults and kids, and hot tub made for so much fun. People can come and go without lots of cameras or management getting in the way of activities. If you want that kind of oversight, stay somewhere else. It’s a laid-back place for kids and adults, dogs are welcome too, and it takes the stress out of having to pick up and clean constantly on vacation. Come down for a cool, easygoing camping experience.

Mercer Lake Resort has become part of our family’s yearly traditions. We’ve visited a few times, and each stay has been the same: cozy, clean cabins, a beautifully maintained resort, and great staff who make sure you have what you need. It’s a lovely spot just outside Florence. Check them out, you won’t be disappointed.
